That gay men have so embraced The Wizard of Oz is only partly about Judy Garland. It is more about the experience of being an outsider and a seeker,
longing for a better world ‘over the rainbow' that helps us identify with innocent Dorothy.

In Spiritual Journeys, Darren Main explores the story of Oz from a modern spiritual viewpoint. He explores each character and place as symbols of spiritual evolution. Filled with wisdom and common sense, it is a useful, entertaining and delightful guidebook and an interesting explication and expansion of a familiar, contemporary myth.
