Janna L. Horowitz: Janna L. Horowitz received her M.S.Ed. in counseling psychology from the University of Southern California in 1996. She is currently earning her doctorate in counseling psychology at USC, with specialty areas in college student development, gender, and sexual orientation.
This book is a collection of articles covering a broad range of topics in gay and lesbian mental health. The twelve articles are based on empirical research and literature reviews and are specifically geared to mental health professionals. This book covers some very important yet usually neglected topics such as helping partners of lesbian abuse survivors, eating disorders, and aging, in addition to the more researched areas of gay adolescent suicide, coming out, and the impact of AIDS in the gay male community.
